The Cięzkowice Sandstone of Lower Eocene age is a fluxoturbidite – a deposit of high-density marine turbidity currents. Locally coarse-grained material and traces of submarine erosion are visible. High porosity of this rock makes it the significant oil and gas reservoir of Carpathian deposits. Weathering structures can be observed on walls of the rock.
